Hanging On The Telephone

Dress - American Apparel / Jumper - H&M / Necklace - Me & Zena / Rings - Urban Outfitters

I've gone a bit jumper mad lately. For years I didn't own a single one, favouring cardigans instead. Now I own at least five, all bought in the last couple of months. H&M and Primark are my two favourite shops for knitwear because they both make some great stuff thats also super cheap. I've had this American Apparel shirt dress for years but I don't really wear it that much because it is so short. It is a cool dress though because its one of those pieces that looks totally different depending on how you tie the ribbon on it. I got this necklace when Me & Zena had 50% off all their jewellery at Halloween. I love that you can take the receiver off, Chloe has lots of fun pretending to chat away on it haha.

I wore this today when Chloe & I went to watch the Chinese New Year celebrations in Huddersfield town centre. We got there a bit late so we were only able to see the Tai Chi demonstration as well as one of the worst magicians ever. I only wanted to go because they said there was gonna be proper Chinese food there. I was hoping for some Dim Sum & bubble tea but all they had available was fortune cookies & pocky, epic fail. So instead I had a Whopper meal in Burger King followed by a maple pecan plait which left my dress feeling a lot tighter than it did this morning!

  2. I like that you showed the outfit with the jumper because I can really see how versatile that shirt dress can be. I've never worn a shirt dress before, but maybe I should invest. The eye makeup you've done with the outfit is really beautiful. x

  7. Your dress is lovely, I really must have a proper look in American Apparel one of these days, I love those A-line skirts that seem to be all over the blogosphere (: Shame about the failed CNY celebrations haha, Southampton didn't do anything this year - even worse! xx

  19. Ooh, I like the dress with the jumper over the top- I want to wear shirts buttoned up all the way to the top, but I'm pretty sure I would just look really dumpy and matronly! I got a Me & Zena necklace I wanted for ages at Halloween- it was reduced anyway because it was the vampire one, and then I got the extra 50% off. I love it.

  31. You're so pretty Caroline! I love your hair, it's just so different to what I see anywhere else and it makes me want to go REAL blonde. Considering I've been a slave to the black hairdye since I was about 13 this is huge ha-ha. Gorgeous shirt dress, if I'd gone anywhere near chinese I would have ate so much it would've popped open! You look dead slim and I love how you layered it with the jumper :)
