OCC Lip Tars

Ok so again long time, no update. I've been really busy blogging research for my final uni project on editorial design. Due to having Chloe my deadline has been extended to 2nd September in order to graduate this year. But when I saw these on Hannah's blog, I knew I had to get some. I'd never heard of OCC before (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) but having looked through some more reviews and swatches, I opted for Melange which is a terracotta colour, Pageant - a dark pink and Feathered which is pure white.

(L-R: Pageant, Feathered, Melange)

I only got these this morning but I'm so impressed with them already! I mixed up Pageant and Feathered to create a really bright, pretty pink. You only need a tiny amount because however much you mix of each colour really affects the outcome.

Lip Tars aren't like normal lip glosses at all really. They're totally non-stickly, last for ages and have a great peppermint taste. Plus you really have to apply them with a lip brush (I used a Mac 317) because they're quite runny and I can imagine it would be very difficult. They seem to have good staying power because I had to use some of my Shu Uemura oil cleanser to get it off. I love them, definitely want to get some more in future even though these 3 cost me about £26 in total. Grandma and Hush are next on the list. I ordered mine from here for 8.99 each.

Chloe!

Long time no post! Well I've been busy finishing off work for college and having my baby! On April 4th at 8.40am I gave birth to a baby girl and we decided to call her Chloe April Mitchell. Shes beautiful, we're so smitten with her but motherhood is a bit of a nightmare to be honest. Though I wasn't expecting anything less! Shes beginning to settle down now so I should have lots more time to update this blog (hopefully!)

Here she is!

Intro Post

Hi I'm Caroline and this is my new blog for posting about fashion, beauty and anything girly really. Although I have a lot of blogs on my blogger account these are all for my college projects, this is my first blog thats really about me. So who am I? I am 21 years old, I'm originally from Bromley in South East London however for the past 3 years I've been living in Leeds for my BA (Hons) Graphic Design course at Leeds College Of Art And Design. I'm in my final year at university but will be finishing at the end of March to have my first baby! Yep, I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with what is thought to be a baby girl (we just call it Owly). I have a fiance called Andy who I love more than anything and I can't wait to get married and have a proper family with him.

Like any girl I am obsessed with clothes and make-up. My mum pretty much raised me with expensive taste so I'm always buying from high end make-up brands despite living on a student loan. My favourite brands include MAC, Illamasqua, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Urban Decay and Laura Mercier. I buy most of my clothes from Topshop, Urban Outfitters and American Apparel although the Harvey Nicks in Leeds always manages to tempt me in. Buying maternity clothes has been one of the hardest things as you don't want to spend too much on something you can only wear for a few months and the vast majority of stuff looks like its been designed for 60 year olds. H&M Mama and New Look Maternity sections have been where I've had to shop recently so I can't wait to get back in some nice clothes! My taste tends to be quite random. I do follow fashion and am interested in what celebrities are wearing but I lean towards a more indie fashion style. I have always loved changing my appearance though. I first started dying my hair at age 9 inspired by Cyndi Lauper's bright yellow hair. Its been almost every colour since. Last year I had the most perfect pink and even got complimented on it by Alex Box at the Illamasqua counter in London Selfridges hehe. But currently its a horrible brown just so I didn't have to risk my baby's health or sit in the hairdressers for 4 hours getting my roots bleached platinum blonde.

Other things I love include alternative/indie music, baking, cross stitch, kitties, going to the gym and hugs. I think thats probably enough about me for now. I'll get posting properly soon, got some new products in the mail that I can't wait to try out!
