Fall At Your Feet

Dress - Urban Outfitters / Jacket - Primark / Shoes - Vans / Necklace - Notonthehighstreet* / Bracelet - H&M
Rings - Topshop / Watch - Michael Kors / Brooches - Helpless Romantic & Stolen Thunder

Last Sunday I travelled down to Sheffield for an event I've been waiting ten whole years for - MCBUSTED. In all honestly I probably haven't listened to either Busted or McFly during that time but both bands will always hold a very special place in my heart. I'm sure I've mentioned my teenage stalking of them many times before. I even went to see James' musical Loserville in Leeds a couple of years ago. Nothing can compare to seeing them all live on stage together again though. Gotta admit, I did miss Charlie a teeny tiny bit but the show was completely amazing! They played so many good songs & I was happy that the ratio of Busted to McFly songs was in the former's favour. I especially liked the UFO performances because it was right near our seats. I had such a blast & I cannot wait for the much promised McBusted album. I was quite tempted to get a tour book but I ended up just getting a wristband from the merch stand because I spent most of my money on booze. £15 for 3 drinks?! I thought we were in Yorkshire!

So this what I wore for the concert. I spotted this dress in Urban Outfitters in Leeds a couple of weeks ago & snapped it up right away. I loved the combo of different sized gingham patterns & the collar adds such a cool 60s vibe to it. I go through phases of loving everything in Urban Outfitters & then not liking a single thing. At the moment I want so many things from there. I found this dress by Little White Lies on their website that Kay Hanley from Letters To Cleo wore on an episode of Parks & Rec. It's such an adorable vintage style Summer dress that's a bit 90s Courtney Love-esque. I'd best get saving my pennies for it! The Sheffield Motorpoint Arena was absolutely boiling inside so I'm glad I only took my thin leather jacket from Primark. This is one of my favourite items of clothing ever. It only cost me £10 & I've had it for yeeeeears. I decided to wear my Vans because I wanted to be comfy with all the dancing & jumping about. I'm pretty sure I spent most of the concert jumping up & down. It wouldn't have been right if I hadn't done a Busted-style jump or two!

Personalised Gifts From Notonthehighstreet

Today I'm going to share my number one gift buying tip with you - buy something personalised. If you have no idea what to buy someone then personalised gifts are definitely the way forward. It's almost as unique & thoughtful as giving someone a homemade present but the finish of the product will be a whole lot better and you can still guarantee that they won't already own it. My favourite place to shop for personalised gifts is notonthehighstreet.com. They're kinda like a British version of Etsy but every seller has been hand-picked by the website so you know you're getting a quality product from a reliable seller. Plus I think it's important to support small creative businesses, especially ones that are close to home. They have an enormous array of products on offer such as prints, mugs, cards, hampers, toys, cakes(!), jewellery & home decor so you're bound to find something that would make the perfect gift for any of your friends or family. I can literally spend hours browsing on there! I was sent a few things for review but I have bought presents from there numerous times in the past and I've always had impeccable customer service. Here are some of my picks for personalised gifts:

Alphabet Bags is an extremely popular accessories brand. As the name suggests, their items often feature initials or nice typography. They make so many different products such as tote bags, makeup bags & iPhone cases but I went for their Initial Coin Purse*. This purse is actually quite big so it can fit your cash, bank cards, ID, keys & lipstick in - perfect if you want something a bit less bulky to carry round on a night out.

Loubijoux is an adorable jewellery brand. My favourite item has to be the Single Love Letter Necklace*. I used to be obsessed with buying name necklaces but an initial is a little bit more sophisticated & grown up. A really nice idea would be to buy one of these for each of your friends with their initial on. The Double Love Letter Necklace is even more perfect if you're in a relationship & want to show someone how much you love them.

Pop Kid is my first port of call when buying presents for children. It was launched by the team behind Heidi Seeker who I also love. I have bought loads of stuff from them for Chloe, her cousins & her friends. I find that kids are especially hard to buy for. They're always into something new & sometimes it's impossible to know which toys they already own. My house is filled to the brim with toys anyway so I'm sure many other parents will also appreciate their child receiving something a bit different. I love their t-shirts & this is their Personalised Apple T-Shirt that I bought for Chloe. They also make some rather cute Christmas stockings, aprons & pencil cases.
